Driftless Brewing Company, located in the village of Soldiers Grove in the scenic Driftless Area of southwestern Wisconsin, has expanded to a 15 BBL system . In a few short years, demand for our beers exceeded the small production capacity, as we were fielding requests for our products from as far away as Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Chicago. Spurgeon Vineyards & Winery is located in the beautiful hills of Southwest Wisconsin. It is the nature of hills to drain away cold and water thus rendering the hilltops an excellent location to grow grapes. The winery is nestled in the valley below.
The year was 1977. That year Glen and Mary planted corn on the hilltops as well as a half row of grapes. In 1978 they made a serious dent in the planting of their vineyards by putting in 5 acres of grapes. This was followed by a 5 acre planting in 1979, another 5 acre planting in 1981 and a final acre in 1982. Each of those acres contains 600 or more vines. The Spurgeon's bottled their first vintage. On May 1, 1982, Glen and Mary opened their doors and poured their first commercial wines for customers to taste.
For about a year Joe & Snapper had been working on renovations of the 815 Water St. property which is located in the heart of downtown Hillsboro. At the same time, Joe had been perfecting his first home brew. As the renovations progressed so did the beer recipe. October 2012, Joe told Snapper "I think I got it! I think this is the one." Then the unthinkable happened. A few days later Joe was in a fatal car accident. Now what? Well, in true Verbsky strength, you take the secret recipe, brew it & share it with everyone. Joe Beer was born. Not long after, 2e Brewery was established so we could continue to brew Joe Beer as well as experiment & expand to other brews.
Eagles Landing Winery is a small family owned business located in northeast Iowa in downtown Marquette. We are nestled in the breathtaking rolling hills along the Mississippi River next to the Great River Road. Our first grapes where planted in 2000 and have been producing our own wines since 2003. Our wines can be found at over 150 locations in Iowa and Wisconsin. We are Pet Friendly in the Wine Garden.
Empty Nest Winery opened its doors in 2011 with 8 different wines, mainly berry and fruit wines. We are located in rural northeast Iowa on our century family farm. Family-owned & operated, we produce handcrafted wines made in small batches from mainly locally grown handpicked berries. We ferment whole real fruit not just the juice & real sugar; this gives our unfiltered wine more flavor, color, and body for the best tasting ‘TRUE TO THE FRUIT' wine.
